Process
Premier stands apart in its ability to partner with its clients as it manages and facilitates every phase of the reconstruction, using a proven process that is smooth and hassle-free. You’ll find it’s a pleasure to work with Premier.
Initial visit

The Premier experience begins with a visit to the Premier showroom. Typically, you would have called ahead or e-mailed us to set up an appointment. For this initial meeting, you will want to bring digital photos of your existing space and a few basic dimensions, along with magazine or brochure pictures representing an idea of what you desire in the finished room, if available.

As you step into the Premier Kitchen & Bath showroom, you are greeted not only by friendly, accommodating staff members, but, also, by an array of beautifully outfitted vignettes showing various kitchen and bath features and options. From the showroom displays and the hundreds of examples of Premier’s work they will show you on the conference room flat screen, you will get an overview of who they are, their quality and services, and what Premier can do for you.

Also, from this initial consultation, which typically takes an hour to an hour and a half, the Premier designer will develop an understanding of your tastes and what is most important to you. They will also help you with the establishment of a realistic budget for the project at hand..

Design Phase

If you like what you see at the initial consultation and see Premier as a good fit for you, the next step is to sign a one-page agreement and provide Premier with a small design retainer of $750 per room. While many companies charge up to 10 times this amount or more, Premier keeps the design cost low and even applies this upfront fee toward the total cost of the project. Once the retainer is received, your personal Premier designer begins by meeting with you at your home, where they will take photos, take all the measurements they will need, and gather additional details about your tastes and furnishing style.

First Presentation

Within a week to 10 days, your Premier designer will be ready to sit with you again to present a package with a hard design concept and exact numbers as to the cost of the project. Your designer will work with you to ensure the design and budget are both on target and to determine if any adjustments need to be made.

Second Presentation

For the second presentation, which typically occurs a week following the first, the designer will have made any adjustments as needed to the concept, scope of work, or products, as discussed at the first presentation. Your Premier designer will provide you with a new drawing and samples and will discuss any adjustments to the final costs. Again, at this meeting, will have an opportunity to give additional feedback and have any questions answered.

Depending on the complexity and size of the project, a third or fourth presentation will be scheduled, as necessary, to ensure everything is in place before going to contract.

Contract Signing

It is only at this point, once you are satisfied with the design and budget, that a contract is signed. Here again, you will notice the exciting Premier difference. No running all over to order products, no having to be home for multiple deliveries. Instead, after contract signing, Premier orders in all the parts and products, which are delivered to their own on-site warehouse, where they can receive, inspect, and store all the products while waiting for job to start.

Pre-Construction Meeting

Approximately six weeks after signing the contact, your designer and the project superintendent will meet with you at your home for a pre-construction meeting. The designer will go over the scope of work, design concepts, and any final details, and will pass the baton to the superintendent, who will be your point of contact during the construction phase. The superintendent will gather information about all the construction logistics including entry and exit to your home, what draping needs to be done, and where products will be staged on your property during construction.

Construction Phase

Depending on the complexity of the project, the reconstruction typically takes eight weeks to complete. During this time, your Premier designer will visit the job at certain key points and the superintendent will be in constant contact with you to answer any questions or field any concerns.

Project Completion

Upon completion of the project, Premier conducts a “ final walkthrough” with the Designer, superintendent, and the Home Owner. This stage brings a close to the construction phase of the project. It is also intended to discover if there are any product warranties issues that may remain outstanding. Shortly after completion, you will receive a survey regarding our service and products. Your response to this survey is very important to us. It allows us the opportunity to give credit where due, and helps us perfect our systems and procedures
